The marketing and operations departments of a medium sized national charity wanted to evaluate the potential of a new service to meet particular clients needs and as a vehicle to both raise the profile of the charity and be a focus for enhancing their fundraising activities. Although they had the functional specialist skills they lacked the programme management expertise to create the project and then ensure that it was run in a integrated way across the charity.
